How it works

From NDA to your first production run.

  1. 01

    NDA & specs

We sign a mutual NDA so we can talk freely about your recipe, packaging, and target costs. You share your product specifications — ingredients, process, finished-product expectations.

  2. 02

    Pilot run

We produce a small test batch at our hourly rate ($40/hour per person on the line). The pilot lets us refine the process for commercial scale and gives us real data to quote per-piece pricing.

  3. 03

    Pricing locked

Once we know how the product runs, we agree on per-piece pricing for ongoing production. Pricing is transparent — labor, yield assumptions, and any quality-control overhead are all visible.

  4. 04

    Ingredients in, product out

You ship ingredients and packaging. We schedule production, manufacture to spec, and stage the finished product for pickup or your carrier of choice. Distribution and Amazon FBA fulfillment are available as add-ons.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What kinds of products do you co-pack? +

Gluten-free and vegetarian products: baked goods, frozen meals, kale chips and vegetable crackers, sauces, dressings, pasteurized shelf-stable goods. If you're not sure whether your product fits, ask.

How does pricing work? +

Pilot production runs at $40/hour per person on the line. After enough runs to estimate yields and labor, we agree on per-piece pricing for ongoing production. You provide all ingredients and packaging.

Who owns the recipe and the brand? +

You do — entirely. We sign a mutual NDA before reviewing your specifications. Your recipes, formulations, packaging, trademarks, and customer relationships remain yours. We don't reverse-engineer your product or make a competing one.

How long does it take to start? +

Typically two to four weeks from signed NDA to a pilot production run, depending on the complexity of your product and how much recipe scaling is needed.

Can you help with USDA Organic certification? +

Yes. We offer full USDA Organic certification support for co-packing partners — paperwork, documentation, agency coordination, and audit preparation. More on the home page.

Do you ship the finished product? +

We can package and stage product for pickup, or hand it to your carrier of choice. We also offer distribution and Amazon FBA fulfillment services if you want a single partner end-to-end.

Would I rather rent the kitchen and make it myself? +

Maybe — it depends on what your time is worth and how technical your product is. If you want to do the making yourself, see our shared kitchen service.
